Abstract:

Spontaneous migration of an intrauterine DEVICE into the bladder is very rare. Foreign bodies of the urinary bladder may occur by self-insertion or migration from neighbor organs. When ignored for a long time, foreign bodies act as a core for calculus formation. The patient usually present with dysuria and intermittent urinary tract infections.A 42-year-old woman is reported in whom an intrauterine DEVICE had been placed 7 years before this report, and complained of chronic pelvic pain, recurrent urinary tract infections and irritative urinany tract symptoms. After observation of stone in the bladder, the intrauterine DEVICE and the surrounded stone was removed by suprapubic cystolithotomy.

Abstract:

Gas permeability in homogeneous semipermeable materials such as semicrystalline polymers is an inherent property of the material structure that results in the absorption of fluids from diffusion in their matrix. The ability of a gas to cross a semipermeable membrane more or less quickly is the object of research in various fields such as food and drug packaging industry, the chemical industry, and oil and natural gas explorations. In crude oil extraction, polymers minimize permeation and leakage in offshore hoses when materials are in contact with gases at high pressures and temperatures, preventing accidents with serious environmental and human impacts. As information regarding the transport coefficients of gases under extreme conditions is scarce in the literature, it was necessary to experimentally build and validate a DEVICE capable of providing reliable data on these properties. Thus, the aim of this paper is to describe a medium pressure gas PERMEAMETER in polymer nanocomposite plates, developed by the authors and sought to be validated with nitrogen at 1 MPa and 69 º, C (342. 15 K) in samples of high-density polyethylene both pure and with nanoclay, forming a polymer nanocomposite, considering the methods of obtaining the transport coefficients studied in the literature review of the standardized experimental techniques. The comparison of the results obtained with the data found in the literature suggests the validity of the equipment in presentation for the analysis of the gas permeability of different polymeric materials.

Abstract:

Misplacement of tracheal tube in the esophagus remains a significant cause of morbidity and mortality in anesthesia despite decades of effort aimed at prevention or (more importantly) detection of such an event. We have evaluated a cheap, simple and quick DEVICE (Esophageal Detector DEVICE; EDD) which relies mainly on the relation or otherwise of an evacuated elastic bulb applied to the supposed (tracheal) or (esophageal) tube.Identical tracheal tubes were passed into the trachea and esophagus of 100 patients, the left and right position in the mouth was chosen at random. The test was conducted by a second person, not present at intubations and unaware of the tube placed in the trachea. There were no false negatives (relation of elastic bulb applied to the tracheal tubes) probably due to bronchospasm early after induction of anesthesia. Correct deduction of the tracheal tube position was achieved in 98 patients using the DEVICE. We conclude that EDD could be a very sensitive (100%) and reliable method for detection of esophageal intubations however, it is recommended in further studies to test the tubes immediately after intubations (when bronchospasm is most probable) to find the exact specificity and accuracy of the DEVICE.

Abstract:

Determination of unsaturated soil hydraulic parameters are important for assessment and understanding of many processes. These processes include as: runoff and rainfall infiltration, salt, contaminations and nutrition elements transmission in soil and solution absorption by plant root. Recently, disc PERMEAMETER has been recognized as one of most current tool for measurement of unsaturated soil surface hydraulic parameters. In this research, for study of relation between unsaturated soil hydraulic conductivity and sorptivity curve, the field experiments were performed at six iterations to interval of 1 meter each other on three zons (first zone with silty loam texture, second and third zone with loam texture). At all iterations, steady infiltration rates were measuremented on soil surface in consective five suctions, 15, 10, 6, 3 and 0 cm recpectively. Then, sorptivity factors in each suction were estimated by methods of differentiation (unsteady analysis) and steady analysis. The results of this study indicated that, sorptivity curve (s(h)) similar as unsaturated hydraulic conductivity curve (k(h)) is followed an exponential function. Sorptivity factor had inverse relation with suction, so that sorptivity value increased with suction reduction. Also, the results of this study showed that unsteady analysis method estimate sorptivity value at all suctions more than steady analysis method and the differences are significant in suctions of 3 and 0 cm. The study results indicated soil sorptivity factor inverse relationship with α parameter and α parameter inverse relationship with soil structure resistance degree. Also, it is observed that sorptivity factor sensitivity to soil structure is more than hydraulic conductivity.

Abstract:

Different analyses of Guelph PERMEAMETER and inverse auger hole method were studied to determine the most appropriate method for estimating loamy soils saturated hydraulic conductivity by Guelph PERMEAMETER. The experiments were done at Aboureihan faculty research farm, University of Tehran, using randomized completely blocks (as imbalanced with 5 treatments and 21 duplicates).Experiments were analyzed using SAS software version 9.0. Statistical analyses showed that the average of the Richards regression analysis for ponding depth of H=0.15 was the closest method to double head Guelph analysis, and had the highest correlation (r=O.72) with inverse hole method. Also inverse hole hydraulic conductivities were higher than those obtained from Guelph analyses.Based on results, Richards regression analysis was the best method to determine saturated hydraulic conductivity in loamy soils by Guelph PERMEAMETER. Also, it recommends the use of the second ponding depth in calculation of Richards analysis.

Abstract:

The Guelph PERMEAMETER technique (GP) is one of the proper methods for measuring the saturated hydraulic conductivity (Kfs) above the water table. This study was done by Guelph PERMEAMETER model 2800kl in 20 auger holes at Research Farm of Abourayhan Campus. Soil texture was determined for the Research Farm, using the hydrometer method. Water outlet flow of the PERMEAMETER was measured in four phases under constant ponding heads (H) of 5, 10, 15 and 20 ern, respectively. The field saturated hydraulic conductivity (Kfs) and matric flux potential (Øm)' based on successful testing and Guelph analysis, were evaluated by different methods. The results indicated that, in heavy soils, increasing submergence depth of I-h relative to HI, is an appropriate solution for reducing the Guelph's two-head analysis failure in soil hydraulic conductivity estimation. In this study, well shape factor (C) was also calculated by five different methods. Later, the effect of the calculated C factor by various methods was studied in Guelph's two-head analysis. The results showed that using unsaturated effect in the calculations lowers the possibility of obtaining negative values of Kfs and Øm in Xiang Solution. Also, there was a very high correlation between Guelph successful two-head analysis when Xiang and Numeral Solutions were used for calculating C factor (r=0.98).

Abstract:

Application of aggregate coarse rockfill in hydraulic structures is increasing due to their special properties and is imperative due to its importance and their specific characteristics. Accurate investigation of the flow properties through coarse materials in order to determine hydraulic parameters is one of the most important necessities considering high application of such media in civil works. On the other hands, there is less works about transitional flow through coarse materials. In order to study the flow behavior through granular materials, a packed column test was built. Some experiments have done on three samples of rounded particles with average size of 10.348, 12.127 and 17.785 mm and seepage flow and upstream and downstream heads were recorded in a certain intervals. By using some calculating and depicting some graphs, their behaviors have evaluated. Using the relationship of flow velocity-hydraulic gradient, it was fund that such relationship is non-linear and this is a strong criteria confirming non-Darcy flow. The evaluating of results of this study by statistical indexes and its comparison by Ergun (1952), Kovacs (1981) and Sidiropoulou et al (2007) relationships showed that the relation of Sidiropoulou et al (2007) is more accurate than the other equations. The result of Reynolds number-friction factor curves showed that with increasing the grain size diameter, friction factor is decreased and Reynolds number is increased

Abstract:

By beginning of the year 2020, COVID-19 has spread all over the world. The virus has caused numerous social, medical, and political challenges. One of the major challenges faced by countries to control the outbreak of the virus was the stability of economic and social activities and the simultaneous fulfilling of work during quarantine. Under such circumstances, telework is employed as one of the important policies control the virus. Moreover, many employees have tendency for remote working or teleworking. In such a situation, the importance of applying the Bring Your Own DEVICE (BYOD) approach to fulfill job duties seems obvious. To enjoy the benefits of BYOD, organizations need the right policy for applying BYOD. This perspective endeavors to shed light on how to apply BYOD policy. From the researchers' point of view, the important facets that could be addressed when applying BYOD can be described like this: policy is appropriate decision-making and implementation, technical infrastructure, continuous communication, staff training, security and privacy protocols, and agreement between staff and organization as well as the use of cloud computing.
